Rigger , Telecom Position: Rigger Job Reference #: 201103-01 Location: Brampton , Ontario Rate: $15.00/hr -$30.00/hr based on experience We are currently seeking Riggers to join the Wesbell team in performing all tasks required to fully civilly construct wireless equipment on rooftop and tower environments. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include: 1. Ensure proper inspections and personal safety. 2. Rigging tower for hoisting 3. Perform general ground procedures, such as assembly of Microwave Dishes and steel structure assembly. 4. Install various antenna / dish, transmission lines, copper and fiber systems 5. Install various tower mounts, ice guards and platforms 6. Installation and quality documentation completion 7. Any other duties that may be assigned Education (Theoretical Training) 1. College, CEGEP, vocational or technical training preferred 2. ANRITSU SITE MASTER Vendor Training or 2 years experience with ANRITSU product/equipment/technology is preferred 3. Proper use of coaxial prep tools 4. Andrews coaxial connectorization course 5. Dish orientation and path alignment 6. Antenna azimuth and tilt 7. First Aid / CPR 8. Ladder Safety Training 9. Fall Arrest Training 10. Aerial Rescue Training 11. Swing Stage Certification 12. WHMIS 13. Safe Climbing Training 14. Tower Rescue Training 15. Rigging Techniques Training 16. Electrical Awareness Training 17. Proper Lifting Techniques Job Requirements & Experience 1. Must be comfortable working at heights or in confined space 2. Basic experience with tower erection, antenna, dish, RF transmission line, copper and fiber systems is an asset. 3. Read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings 4. Basic knowledge of the operation and safety requirements of power tools 5. Must be a team player and possess a positive and professional attitude towards work and others 6. General working knowledge of Microsoft Office 7. Basic understanding of wireless communication systems 8. Basic understanding of industry standard installation guidelines, 9. Practical ability and common sense 10. May be required to travel and work weekends, nights if required by customer 11. Manual dexterity is required and mechanical aptitude an asset 12. Have a basic understanding of electricity and electrical safety 13. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract 14. May require use of personal vehicle 15. General housekeeping is a must 16. Must be a team player and have a positive and professional attitude towards work and others 17.
